Arts Working Group
The Arts Working Group is responsible for :
- Expanding the arts offer at the Maltings, continuing to encourage performers to return to the Granary theatre and encouraging new use of the space.
- Exploring ways to target and reach new and potential arts audiences.
- Collecting audience data to provide evidence for funding bids.
- Working with other arts providers to support and enable programme development.
- Using arts initiatives to help raise income for the Maltings project.
- Supporting the detailed development and planning of the new auditorium and associated arts spaces.
- Acting as ambassadors for the project.
- Encouraging membership of Wells Maltings Trust through word of mouth, contacts and events.
- Promoting volunteering opportunities.
- Looking for opportunities to raise awareness of the project for example at events in the Granary theatre.
- Collecting email addresses to help build the Maltings contact database.
- Suggesting ideas for and supporting community fundraising initiatives with an arts/performance angle for example benefit concerts & screenings
