Youth Working Group
The Youth Working Group is responsible for :
- Developing a set of recommendations for meaningful youth involvement in all areas of the project including heritage and arts strands.
- Assisting the development of the facilities and activity programme at the Maltings to ensure that it addresses the needs of young people and that both are accessible to young people.
- Exploring ways to target and reach the youth audience.
- Working with other youth providers to support and enable programme development.
- Using youth initiatives to help raise income for the Maltings project.
- Supporting the detailed development and planning of the dedicated Youth space.
- Acting as ambassadors for the project.
- Encouraging membership of Wells Maltings Trust through word of mouth, contacts and events.
- Promoting volunteering opportunities.
- Collecting email addresses to help build the Maltings contact database.
- Suggesting ideas for and supporting community fundraising initiatives with a youth focus.
- Work collaboratively with other working groups to deliver the aims of the project.
