Following two on the Birds of the Saltmarsh Coast will continue on March 16 when Kevin Thatcher will speak about the history and practise of wildfowling on the Saltmarsh Coast (7.00 p.m in the Sackhouse). Tickets available from www.wellsmaltings.org.uk/whatson at £2.50 each.
The series on Birds of the Saltmarsh Coast began with an Introduction to the Birds of the Saltmarsh Coast by Andy Bloomfield (Warden, Holkham NNR). In February, author and journalist Dick Girling chaired a panel made up of Bernard Bishop (former Warden of the NWT Cley Reserve), Andy Clements (Director, British Trust for Ornithology) and Sarah Henderson (Head Warden, Holkham NNR), on Bird Conservation on the Saltmarsh Coast.
