During the festive period, we will strictly be following Government guidance for Tier 2 and our own policies to keep everyone safe.
Please help us to do this.
– Only one household per table, or per seating bubble in the auditorium.
– To help with this, we will challenge any booking of more than three adults. Please don’t be offended by this.
– Alcohol sales only with a meal from our main menu – or when attending a performance or film
– Face coverings must be worn in all spaces unless eating or drinking
– Social distancing of at least 2m please, and make full use of hand sanitiser provided
– It’s our policy to take your temperature; and contact details for NHS Test and Trace
– Please exit via rear doors, to avoid bottlenecks
Over the period 23-27 December, we regret that full extended Christmas bubbles (up to 3 households) are not allowed entry. We can of course welcome single households, as above.
Thank you for keeping everyone as safe as possible.
Post Lockdown and Tier 2 – Our Plans from 2 December
The recent announcement that Norfolk will be placed into Tier 2 of the new 3 tier scheme from 2 December will naturally have some impact on the way we operate.
Our priority is still to protect our people and our community as much as we can, and we will ensure that when we reopen after lockdown on 2 December at 10am, we will continue to offer a safe and secure environment for entertainment and hospitality.
Our programme for December will continue as planned. Our existing COVID Secure measures are in line with the stricter Tier 2 rules, although we will now have to pay close attention to the rules regarding households mixing indoors. Unlike the former Rule of 6, we now have to make sure that each seating bubble is only taken by members of one household – unless you are in a pre-formed support bubble. Please help us to manage this requirement positively and within the new rules.
According to a change in regulations, alcohol can now be ordered at the bar when attending an event, but must only be consumed when seated in the performance space. This will be limited to only those with tickets – those ordering a drink in the café must do so alongside a substantial meal.
Face coverings remain mandatory throughout the building and for audiences seeing events. We will also be taking temperatures of café customers and audiences, and taking details in line with the Test and Trace scheme- as before.
Our visitor information centre, box office and heritage centre will open as usual from 2 December.
The new Tier 2 regulations are stricter, but that does not mean we can’t continue to offer a great experience in our safe and secure centre.
December events are now fully on sale, and are just the thing to shine a little Christmas spirit into these challenging times. See our full programme HERE.
Stay safe, be strong and be kind.
