More about the series –
This series of talks, presentations and conversations will enhance public awareness and understanding of potentially irreversible risks to the plant and animal kingdoms of north Norfolk. Grounded in science and experience it will offer a layman’s guide to a swathe of increasingly urgent issues and suggest how participants can expand their knowledge of the biological world on which our own lives depend.
An introductory talk by David North on Nature in North Norfolk in May will be followed by Andrew Bloomfield’s talk on the Birdlife of the North Norfolk Coast (June).
Subsequent topics will include marine life, plant life, the lives of insects/invertebrates, the lives of mammals, biodiversity and climate change, the life and death of chalk streams, microbial farming, biodiversity in Wells and Holkham, the Biodiversity Audit of north Norfolk, a discussion of children and biodiversity and a panel on the biological vulnerability of the Saltmarsh Coast chaired by Richard Girling.
