NNFLL26: River Restoration Walk & Workshop, Castle Acre: Charles Rangeley-Wilson & Prof David Sear

Show Information

Castle Acre 11.00 – 15.00

How can you bring a chalk river back to a natural, flourishing form when it has been diverted, dredged, canalised and polluted for centuries?

Join us for an illustrated workshop in Castle Acre Village Hall followed by a walk along the Nar where we will see remeandering works in process as well as thriving stretches of river a few years after restoration. Suitable for professional conservationists and amateurs alike.

Reasonable fitness required. Bring a packed lunch. Wear stout shoes for muddy ground and dress for the day’s weather.

Exact locations and rendezvous points and parking will be confirmed a few days before the event. Travel to and from Castle Acre is the responsibility of the ticket holder
