Danish director Andrew Thomas Jensen reunites stars Mads Mikkelsen and Nikolaj Lie Kaas for the sixth time for a darkly eccentric comedy set in modern-day Denmark, After serving 15 years in prison for robbery, the loner Anker is finally released.
The only person who knows where the stolen money is hidden is his brother, Manfred. However, Manfred has suffered a mental setback, leaving him unaware of the treasure’s location. Determined to recover both the money and a sense of themselves, the brothers embark on a journey back to their childhood homeland – one that will test their past, their bond, and their identities.
