Welcome to this vibrant cultural and community hub, set in the heart of its community in north Norfolk.
Reopening in 2018 after a major physical transformation, Wells Maltings offers a busy year round programme of theatre, film, music, talks, exhibitions, family based and drop in events. From Shakespeare to Spiderman, from ballet to bingo, from pop art to pop trivia, you’ll find it here. Take a look at our What’s On pages for details.
The Maltings building is open 7 days a week 10am- 4pm, and into the evening when we have public arts and cultural events.
We host and operate the town’s Visitor Information Centre (open daily 10am to 4pm), and the Wells Heritage Centre, a fascinating journey through the history, people and stories of this important and much loved part of the world.
Our bright, light and airy café and licensed bar is open daily from 10am to 4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, lunches, snacks and sweet treats, all championing local suppliers and ingredients and Fairtrade principles.
