This colourful exhibition proudly displays a creative installation of student work from Wells Primary School and the Alderman Peel High School, designed and implemented with the Wells Maltings Learning Team.

As part of our Heritage and Arts Outreach, the Wells Maltings Learning Team created Driftwood; a programme comprising heritage-inspired assemblies and consecutive interactive workshops specifically designed for the pupils at Wells Primary. We sought to present a programme that mixed the familiar with the new.

Students engaged in a local history study to learn about the social and industrial history of Wells from a range of sources, to create this collaborative artwork installation responding to what they have discovered.

Come and see their wonderful work depicting the sea and shore, with everything from tide-soaked canvases to illuminated jellyfish!
